golden tale.

one of my ‘friends’ was recently pounding shots of goldschlager at a party i was attending. she said “it gets me more drunk because the gold flakes cut your throat so the alcohol goes straight into your bloodstream”. FIRST OF ALL. be logical. thats a dead ass myth. first and foremost gold is soft and malleable, and the flakes in the bottle itself are so tiny and do not even have sharp edges. its gold leaf. when was the last time a leaf cut your throat. therefore the burning/’dicing of the esophagus’ sensation in your throat is cinnamon schnapps, not the razor sharp edges of a flake of gold. the incompetence thrills me.
